Bearing Precious Seed Representatives
Growing up in a Pastor’s home, I have been raised in the Lord’s work all of my life. I came under conviction of my sin at the age of six, and it was then that I trusted Christ as my Saviour. At the age of 15, I was burdened about preaching, but I did not surrender until age 16, at a Youth Camp Ministry of Parker Memorial Baptist Church. I was completely sure at that time that it was the will of God for me to preach the Gospel for His sake. After graduation from High School, I attended Midwestern Baptist College and received a Bachelors in Religious Education.
Tina (Kendrick) and I were married on February 8th, 1974. She was raised in a Christian home, made a profession of faith as a young child, later came to realize she was not saved, and came to trust Christ as her Saviour as a teenager. Tina was injured in an automobile accident nine months after we were married. This left her paralyzed and in a wheelchair. God has given her grace to be a blessing to many souls; her warm personality and testimony have encouraged many to “keep on keeping on.” She has laboured by my side throughout our ministry and is a gifted soloist as well. She has been a blessed help meet to me, and a wonderful mother to our two sons, Jacob and Jesse.
I pastored two churches, one in Mornoe, Michigan, and one in Kent, Washington; each one for about eight years. I taught in a Christian School for eight years, and was a Christian School Administrator for fourteen years. I also was instructor in a Bible Institute for nine years. After more than fifteen years in the pastorate, the Lord began to show me that He wanted me to continue preaching, but not pastoring. My wife’s health was taking serious turns for the worse, and God began opening doors for me to serve in the Local Church Bible Publishers and Bearing the Precious Seed ministries out of Parker Memorial Baptist Church. By His Grace, I shall be in this work until I die.
Our goals for this ministry are to raise enough funds to purchase 20 tons of paper in one year, so we can print it with the Word of God. Our long term goal will be to establish 20 churches that will faithfully buy a ton of paper each year, so we can continue reaching around the world with the Scriptures.
